Quantity Surveyor

Role: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Tamworth (Head of office) but sites cover whole of the Midlands

Salary: Up to 56,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

We are currently looking for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a leading housing developer who have been in the industry for over 50years' and have a great reputation in the sector. They are looking to further expand their commercial team and are looking for candidates that meet the criteria below - (further job details can be provided if required)

Job roles and responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor -

  • Prepare full enquiry pack, collating all tender information, ensuring fully compliant tender packs are issued.
  • Prepare tender authority sheet including recommendation to Commercial Lead for placing sub-contract order.
  • Keep Payment Record Sheets up to date following completion of each weekly and monthly payment run.
  • Carry out monthly progress checklist on site for all relevant sites.
  • Build the BES by entering all relevant data into the system including Infrastructure, Development, Siteworks and Preliminaries.
  • Attend sites regularly and frequently to provide assistance and support to site staff.

Candidate requirements -

  • Educated to a minimum of degree level in quantity surveying (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, you will have significant knowledge of measurement and valuation in addition to final accounts and sub-contract orders and buying
  • Strong commercial skills to maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management
  • Be adept in preparing and understanding financial reports and will be comfortable utilising COINS (preferable)
