A Quantity Surveyor is required to manage costs and budgets of construction projects, from early cost advice to settlement of the final account. The position is based in Birmingham, in the Property industry, and will involve working closely with a committed Construction team.

Description
- Manage costs and budgets of construction projects from initial calculations to final figures.
- Undertake cost analysis and prepare detailed progress reports.
- Value completed work, arranging payments and negotiating contracts.
- Work closely with the Construction team to ensure projects meet time and budget requirements.
- Provide advice on procurement strategy and assist with commercial risk management.
- Identify and respond to commercial risks within the Property industry.
- Maintain awareness of the different Property contracts in current use.
- Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
Profile
A successful Quantity Surveyor should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Knowledge of construction industry.
- Excellent numeracy and financial management skills.
- Strong negotiation and team working abilities.
- The ability to think methodically and to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in IT and relevant Quantity Surveying software.
