Daniel Owen is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a the new regional office of a growing construction company specialising in commercial and residential, fit-out, refurbishment and build projects. Their portfolio includes large-scale office developments, high-end residential buildings, and state-of-the-art infrastructure solutions. Location: Birmingham City Centre - Travel will be required
Position: Quantity Surveyor
Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 per annum + Package
Contract Type: Permanent

Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional to work on a variety of projects, ensuring cost efficiency, contract compliance, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
- Manage procurement and tendering processes, negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and risk management procedures.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare and submit applications for payment and manage cash flow.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all commercial activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Experience working on a range of projects at one time.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
