Your New Role

Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the West Midlands. This role will play a crucial part in managing the financial aspects of residential developments, ensuring cost control, procurement efficiency, and budget adherence. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams to support the successful delivery of high-quality homes.



Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Managing procurement processes, including subcontractor and supplier negotiations.
  • Conducting valuations, cost reporting, and financial control throughout project lifecycles.
  • Identifying and mitigating financial risks to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.
  • Collaborating with site teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to maintain cost-effective project delivery.
  • Assisting in the preparation of tenders and contract documents.


What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the housebuilding or residential sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software and financial reporting tools.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
  • Chartered status (RICS or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
