Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Birmingham, UK
Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 + Package
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a leading Tier One Main Contractor? We are seeking a dedicated and commercially astute professional to join our dynamic team.
About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of major construction projects, ensuring financial efficiency and project success. Working closely with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners, you will be responsible for cost management, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, manage, and track project budgets and cost forecasts.
Assess and manage contractual risks and obligations.
Procure and manage subcontractors, ensuring cost control and performance.
Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial success.
Monitor and report on project financial performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Experience working with a Tier One Main Contractor in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of contract law and standard forms of contract (e.g., NEC, JCT).
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Strong IT proficiency, particularly in cost management software.
