Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? Join our dynamic, established provider and work on meaningful projects involving home adaptations funded through the Disability Facilities Grant (DFG).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee quantity surveying tasks for residential adaptations and housing projects.
  • Ensure compliance with the DFG framework, building regulations, and health & safety standards.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates and manage project budgets.
  • Communicate technical details effectively to non-specialist stakeholders, including disabled clients and their families.

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Accreditation: RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) membership preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in quantity surveying roles, preferably in residential adaptations, housing projects, or DFG-funded schemes.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of the DFG framework, building regulations, and health & safety standards for disabled adaptations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office, project management software, and cost-estimating tools such as CostX or similar.
