Quantity Surveyor - Tier 1 Contractor - Birmingham

Quantity Surveyor - a Top 10 contractor is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work on major design and build projects ranging from £5m to £100m.

They are also partners on several frameworks including Constructing West Midlands, MOJ, P22 / P23+. Department for Education and the University of Birmingham, and as such have a pipeline of £3bn over the next 5 years and a full order book for 2025 / 2026.

The initial project is the refurbishment of a Grade 2 listed building to provide office space and meeting facilities for a government body (£16m). On this project you will support a Senior Quantity Surveyor to procure and manage sub-contractors, organise payments and assist with monthly reporting.

Requirements:
- Experience managing sub-contractor variations
- Experience working with a building contractor
- Experience dealing with final accounts
- Industry related qualification

Key Duties:
- Assist with procurement and managing sub-contract packages
- Assist with variations and valuations
- Input during pre-construction stage
- Assist with the Production of CVRs

Salary & Package:
- Great basic salary of £45,000 - £50,000
- Company car or allowance (£5,000)
- Performance related bonus
- Pension & Healthcare

To qualify for the higher rate of pay you must be able to demonstrate a track record as a Quantity Surveyor delivering construction projects for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 building contractor ranging from £5m - £50m.
