- Lead the estimating function within assigned projects, delivering accurate cost estimates and reports.
- Implement and oversee estimating strategies aligned with project stage gates.
- Undertake measurement, prepare Bills of Quantities, and ensure adherence to standard measurement methods.
- Analyse estimating data, identify trends, and manage project cost plans.
- Work collaboratively with wider project teams, contributing to best practices and continuous improvement.
- Manage estimating resources, including specialist support from the supply chain.
- Support value engineering initiatives and cost validation exercises.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and quality assurance standards.
- Attend client meetings and engagement events, presenting findings and recommendations.
- Significant experience in estimating and the construction industry.
- Degree educated, preferably with a 2:1 classification.
- Membership of a recognised industry body (e.g. RICS, ACE).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential) and estimating software such as CostX, Candy, or Causeway.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to work.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
