Due to recently awarded tenders a specialist civil engineering contractor are seeking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a major civils / infrastructure in the West Midlands.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have the opportunity to work on a permanent or contract basis (outside of IR35) for a minimum of 2+ years.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing cost control and commercial management for a major project

Reporting to and collaborating with Senior Commercial staff

Prepare monthly project commercial reports.

Managing and mentoring a Quantity Surveyor

Ensuring accurate cost forecasting and budget management

Handling contract administration, particularly NEC

Maintaining effective communication with contractors and stakeholders

Manage the commercial aspects of the early contractor involvement (ECI) for the project

Requirements:

Experience in quantity surveying on major civil engineering projects within infrastructure, (Rail experience is not required)

Proficiency in cost control and contract management

Experience with NEC contracts

Background in managing contractors and mentoring junior team members

Ability to work effectively in project teams within

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or civil engineering

Member of RICS or CIOB (not essential)
