Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor seeking a new challenge?
James Gray Recruitment are actively recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, a leading UK engineering contractor operating in the water sector.

This is a full time permanent role, offering hybrid working in the Midlands.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects.
  • Prepare and manage cost forecasts, budgets, and reports.
  • Handle procurement, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Assess and manage risk, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers and operational teams to ensure commercial success.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Proven previous experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil or mechanical engineering.
  • Previous experience in the water sector is highly desirable.
  • Experience in cost management and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
