Capilaux is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) to join our Clients multidisciplinary team in Birmingham. This role involves providing expert cost consultancy services and delivering high-quality cost management, procurement, and contract administration across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Planning & Estimating - Prepare budget estimates, cost plans, and feasibility studies to support project viability.
  • Procurement & Tendering - Develop tender documents, assess bids, and advise on procurement strategies.
  • Contract Administration - Assist in preparing, reviewing, and managing contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cost Control & Value Engineering - Monitor project costs, manage change control, and provide value engineering solutions.
  • Risk & Financial Reporting - Provide detailed cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and risk assessments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Final Accounts & Dispute Resolution - Prepare final accounts, assess variations, and assist in dispute resolution where required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • MRICS or Associate RICS membership (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years post-qualification experience in Quantity Surveying, with a strong consultancy background.
  • Proven expertise in cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across various sectors effectively.
