An exciting opportunity has arisen within JMC Aviation, the world's leading Aviation Engineering, Training & recruitment business.

We are looking to recruit a new Recruitment Consultant (RPO) based in Birmingham, to deliver permanent candidates for our customers as well as some contract recruitment.

The responsibilities of the Recruitment Consultant (RPO) will involve:
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Utilising various channels to proactively source candidates, including online job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals.
- Partnering with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and provide regular updates on the progress of open positions.
- Ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by providing timely feedback and maintaining clear communication.
- Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of potential candidates for future vacancies, focusing on critical roles within the organisation.
- Ensuring all recruitment activities are compliant with company policies and relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Tracking and reporting on key recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven decisions.
- Supporting employer branding initiatives by promoting both JMC Aviation and our customer as employers of choice within the aviation industry.
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment, bringing innovative ideas to improve the recruitment process.
- Performing employment references, eligibility and criminal convictions checks
- Prioritising workloads
- Updating our database with ongoing activity
- Preparing client on potential candidates
- Following internal compliancy procedures for both JMC Aviation and our customer
- Supporting and promoting teamwork with other divisions / areas within JMC
- Performing other duties as directed by Line Manager


In order to be successful in this role, the Recruitment Consultant (RPO) will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience working as a permanent recruiter (all industry sectors considered)
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously.
- Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills
- Being able to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative and to organise and prioritise own work
- Attention to detail is essential
- Professional telephone manner
- Flexibility within the role
- Customer focus
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to convey information accurately, clearly and in a manner easily understood
- Ability to manage expectations face to face with hiring managers.
- Able to provide guidance and direction to other members within the Recruitment Teams
- Experience of using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and database systems
- Aviation or Engineering background (advantageous but not essential)
- Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
- Experience working within a busy office environment (advantageous but not essential)
