Sales Manager - Bulk Handling - Solutions Sales - UK Wide - 50,000-55,000 + Benefits

A solutions provider of bulk handling and material process plant is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer / Sales Manager to join their growing team.

This is a progressive role which could lead into a people-management position in the future as the company grow their commercial team.

All successful applicants much have experience working in bulk handling, material handling or heavy industry and must have a strong technical understanding, ideally with an engineering background.

The Package:

Salary - 50,000-55,000

6,000 car allowance

Bonus scheme based on company profits (Circa 12,000)

Working Hours - (9am-5pm Monday-Friday)

25 days holiday + bank holidays increasing to 30 days with length of service

Health cash plan scheme

Pension scheme - 5% employer contribution

The Role:

  • Plan, manage and interact with both existing and new customer accounts.
  • Use research and market intelligence to ensure opportunities are generated, promoted and converted.
  • Assist in the production of technical quotations.
  • Offer a full technically compliant bid encompassing all disciplines associated with a turnkey contract.
  • Visiting customers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to assess customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate the technical capability and advantages of the solutions and services offered to potential customers.
  • Promote both up and cross selling benefits and functions to all customer accounts.
  • Daily interaction with the companies CRM and ERP systems.
  • Liaise with the operations team and customers in processing active sales orders.
  • Assist with after sales and service queries.
  • Develop the UK sales territory with a view to introducing additional area sales staff/service engineers when the activity justifies the future investment.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid UK driving license.
  • Must have a strong technical background, or a proven track record in technical sales.
  • Must have previous experience developing new business opportunities.
  • Must have experience within bulk handing, material handling, heavy industry or similar.
