Technical Sales Engineer

A Technical Sales Support / Applications Engineer role, working as part of a very experienced sales team. Mainly focussed on preparation of quotations with a worldwide and UK market leading manufacturer of packaging and filling machinery sold into the beverage market.

BASIC SALARY: up to £44,000

LOCATION: Covering the UK and Ireland, this is a home based role with regular travel to client sites. Ideally, you will be living on or along one of the M1, M62, M6, M5 or M4 motorway corridors.

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham, Milton Keynes, Coventry

JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer - Packaging Machinery, Filling Machinery, Capital Equipment - Food / Beverage Manufacturing

This is a technical sales support / application engineering role, working as part of an experienced technical sales team covering the UK and Ireland. Your main task will be the preparation of quotations for clients. There is no set financial target as an individual, you will instead be targeted on agreed KPI`s.
Full product training will be given at induction and ongoing support, provided by a nominated mentor.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer - Packaging Machinery, Filling Machinery, Capital Equipment -Food / Beverage Manufacturing

· You WILL have experience of working in a similar role for a company supplying or working within the beverage or food industries.
· Previous technical sales support or Applications Engineer experience would be advantageous.
· You MUST be a qualified Mechanical Engineer., ideally to HNC+ level.

Working for a very well established UK Sales and Service office for a market leading manufacturer of packaging and filling machinery supplied to the beverage industry in the UK & Ireland.

This is a new role as part of ongoing plan to build up the UK sales team to continue its very impressive growth.
