Job Title: UK Business Development Associate (private healthcare - surgeon engagement)
Location: Field-based across the UK (ideally midlands based for travel)
Reports to: UK Business Development Director

Overview:
Our client is seeking a motivated and strategic UK Business Development Associate to join their team. This role is integral to expanding the number of surgical day case units across the UK. The position involves identifying, engaging, and building partnerships with clinicians across various specialties, as well as developing business plans that align clinical activity, revenue, and investment to create Doctor Group Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed annual sales and activity targets within assigned territory and across the UK market.
  • Identify and evaluate new development opportunities, market trends, and present them to leadership for approval.
  • Execute strategic plans to expand the customer base and drive growth.
  • Develop activity quotas for regions and territories, forecasting objectives effectively.
  • Partner with business performance teams to activate and grow new centers while expanding existing ones.
  • Manage internal CRM systems to track opportunities, pipelines, and revenue generation.
  • Present Welbeck Health Partners' value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clinicians and customers.
  • Create and manage clinician networks in both active and future regions.
  • Support promotional programs and marketing activities to maximize the impact of new day case units.
  • Provide regular updates on development activities and standardize sales materials.
  • Balance new business development with account management responsibilities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Regular and predictable performance, with the ability to make independent decisions and use sound judgment.
  • Strong initiative and interpersonal skills for engaging with clinicians and customers.
  • Ability to prioritize duties, multitask effectively, and balance competing responsibilities.
  • Availability to travel extensively across the UK and occasionally beyond.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Proven success in target-based sales performance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent presentation abilities.
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of driving tactical execution in a field sales organization.
