Transport Administrator (Part-Time)£25,000pa (pro rata)25hr weekWe are looking for a motivated and organised Transport Administrator to join our client's team on a part-time basis. Working from our busy transport office, you will be the first point of contact for incoming queries, provide updates on shipments, and liaise with internal teams and external partners. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Answering incoming calls and providing prompt, accurate information on shipment queries and transport-related matters.
  • Liaising with external partners, drivers, and carriers to coordinate and confirm delivery schedules.
  • Updating customers and internal departments on the status of shipments, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are kept informed.
  • Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and updating internal systems with shipment details.
  • Assisting the transport team with administrative tasks, including preparing and updating documents related to transportation.
  • Ensuring any transport issues or delays are communicated to relevant teams in a timely manner.
  • Supporting compliance with health and safety procedures within the transport office.
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar transport or logistics role is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise updates.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to quickly learn internal systems.
