Transport Co-Ordinator

Location: Coleshill, Birmingham
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000

Summary:
At Bis Henderson, we are seeking an experienced Transport Co-ordinator to join a growing logistics business near Birmingham. The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and ability to assist in planning routes for vehicles. Furthermore, they will be passionate about continuous improvement and will constantly strive to improve operational efficiencies and fleet performance whilst minimising costs.

This role would particularly suit a driven individual with desire to progress within a logistics operation, as this business offers excellent development and progression opportunities.

This role is working Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm or 8am-6pm.

Key Responsibilities:
* Co-ordination of the transport planning operation to ensure the timely, efficient and cost-effective delivery of products in line with customer service level agreements.
* Prepare documentation for deliveries to ensure accurate recording and monitoring of KPIs.
* Brief and de-brief drivers regarding daily schedules.
* Ensure adherence to relevant legislation within the transport office and wider transport operation.
* Liaise with customers and resolve any queries.

Key Skills/Experience:
* Operational experience gained within a fast-paced transport environment.
* Working knowledge of transport planning tools.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Good understanding of transport legislation.
* High attention to detail.
