Business Development Manager Supported Living/Care Home Sector - c£55k + Package

Were working with a leading independent, specialist Healthcare provider whose services span the majority of England from a Midlands office base.

With ambitious growth plans underpinned by an excellent reputation and longstanding team (of over 1200 staff) across the UK, they now seek to appoint a Business Development Manager (BDM) as follows:

  • Working between London and the West Midlands as required, travelling between the two and beyond for business related meetings and networking
  • Knowledgeable in the Mental Health Step-Down and Supported Living Care Home fields
  • Ability to identify new opportunities, including partnerships, funding sources, and service expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, local authorities, and healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee the successful launch of new services, ensuring they meet regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate market research to identify service gaps and demand trends.
  • Develop and present compelling proposals to secure contracts and funding.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure services are delivered to high standards.
  • Monitor and report on business performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Attend key industry events, networking opportunities, and stakeholder meetings.

The suitable Business Development Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in business development within the mental health, supported living, or social care sector.
  • Strong understanding of mental health step-down services and supported living models.
  • Demonstrable experience in building and managing relationships with commissioners, local authorities, and NHS partners.
  • Experience in launching and developing new care services.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and drive growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects across different regions.
  • Willingness to travel across England as required.
