Job Brief

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to enhance our team. This demanding position focuses on increasing sales performance, expanding the customer base within various market sectors, and developing new service opportunities for a wider audience. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of business development in relevant sectors, excellent communication skills, and a strategic, results-driven mindset. This role includes hybrid work with travel to customer locations being integral to the position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and create business development strategies, pipelines, and targets in alignment with key business objectives.
  • Drive business growth in collaboration with operations teams.
  • Take ownership of customer tender and Request for Quotation (RFQ) requirements.
  • Create customer proposal documents and facilitate resulting commercial discussions and negotiations.
  • Manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and maintain day-to-day customer contacts.
  • Analyse market trends and conduct competitor benchmarking to discover new opportunities and services.
  • Liaise with a global network to maximize geographic opportunities.
  • Explore cross-selling and up-selling opportunities with existing clients.
  • Support continuous improvement activities related to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Midlands-based (ideally).
  • Proven work experience in a sales management role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience within the Aerospace / Automotive OEM supply chain.
  • Ability to measure and analyse key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
  • Understanding of manufacturing and resource operations.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Must be fluent in the native language and English.
