White Label recruitment is currently working with a leading valve distributor on who has a brand new Sales Manager / Business Development position to lead the sales for the valves and fittings distribution arm of the business. This is a home based position with focusing on new business development as well as developing current accounts. This is home based position for someone in the North or the Midlands.

This business has a fantastic name in the industry and really invests in their staff with a lot of the staff being there for over 20/30 years. They specialise in smaller valves for the utilities, water and natural gas industry. As well as any applications requirig small boreand fittings to put into pipelines. They deal with like of National Grid, etc. This part of the business specialises in galvanized steel, brass ball valves, gate globe check and butterfly as well as all associated fittings. There is also huge career progression opportunities with this role to potentially progress to a much more senior position in a relatively short space of time.

The focus of this this role is to build and manage the future business development strategy focused on increased sales and new business opportunities. This person will also be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the customer base and product ranges ensuring a strong presence in the markets they operate in.

The Role

  • Achieve forecasted growth and sales targets by a planned and agreed growth strategy.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan for the customer base and product range
  • Promote and build strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and providing a 100% client-driven understanding of their needs.
  • Present sales results, margin, opportunities, and realistic forecasts to the management team monthly
  • The ability to keep abreast of and identify new emerging markets and opportunity trends and also be aware of new products and any competition threats/opportunities.


The Person

  • Must have a proven sales track record in valve sales
  • Significant valve experience to be able to come in and hit the ground running
  • Be very ambitious and driven
