About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a renowned machine manufacturer within the food production industry, for a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineer. This role focuses on driving revenue through the sale of technical aftermarket solutions, including maintenance plans, service packages, machine refurbishments, and new equipment upgrades.
Our client is looking for a technical professional with experience in machinery manufacturing or food production equipment. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and developing strong customer relationships, leveraging your technical knowledge to deliver innovative solutions tailored to client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Reignite and maintain relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Technical Solution Sales: Identify and capitalise on opportunities to sell tailored aftermarket solutions, including preventative maintenance plans, refurbishment services, and machine upgrades.
- Consultative Approach: Use your technical expertise to understand customer operations, identify pain points, and offer value-driven solutions to optimise their machinery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, service, and customer support teams to deliver seamless and effective solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Industry Expertise: Background in machinery manufacturing or food production equipment, with a strong understanding of processing systems and challenges.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to understand complex machinery and provide technical advice (product-specific training will be provided).
- Sales Excellence: Proven success in a technical sales role, with the ability to identify and close opportunities for aftermarket services.
- Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and long-lasting relationships with clients.
- Global Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally to meet client and business needs as and when needed.
