We are hiring for an Accounts Assistant that is experienced in an accounting role, ideally having worked with vehicles previously, in Birmingham. This is a full time, permanent role and you will be assisting with the managing of the accounts team day to day and ensuring smooth operations.

 

Duties of an Accounts Assistant

In this role you will be working in the Accounts team to help manage the day to day operations of the department. Reporting to the management team, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing daily transactions and bank reconciliations
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers
  • Assist with month end duties; reporting and reconciliations
  • Work alongside the accountants on projects and reporting tasks
  • Support stock checks

 

Skills and experience of an Accounts Assistant

As a Accounts Assistant, you need to have experience with;

  • A similar account based role, an understanding of accounting, month end duties and stock management
  • Use of dealership management systems

It would be beneficial to the Accounts Assistant role if you also had;

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
