Art and Graphics Teacher Immediate Start REQUIRED 

North Birmingham, Full time, Long term position 

Salary (depending on experience): £120 - £185 per day 

Your new School 

This Secondary school located in north Birmingham area are looking for a qualified teacher of Art, who can also teach Graphics, to join the department immediately. This School's expectations for learning are designed to encourage pupils to contribute to class activities and become more engaged in the process of learning meaning, that students are active learners in the classroom and a disciplined atmosphere in the classroom is maintained. Positive relationships between students and staff are underpinned by the school's expectations for learning, allowing for meaningful discussions and restorative practice to take place. 

Your role 

  • Planning, Teaching, marking and assessment 

  • Attending staff meetings 

  • Attending parents' evenings and liaising with parents  

Requirements  

  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status or ECT's welcome 

  • Experience teaching within a Secondary setting 

  • Good time management and excellent behaviour/classroom management skills. 

  • Have a professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes 

  • To have knowledge of developments with regard to the National Curriculum and other Government initiatives. 

  • To have evidence of professional development relating to the leadership and management of a secondary school 

  • Establish and review targets and make decisions; relate to and work with others as a member of a team 

  • DBS on update service (desirable)
