We are seeking a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to join our network of secondary schools across Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to work flexibly while making a positive impact in education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the teacher, ensuring that students remain on task with set work.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive and orderly classroom environment.
  • Support the learning and development of students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff, acting as a role model within the school community.
  • Assist with general school duties, such as exam invigilation or supporting school events, when required.
About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a secondary school setting (e.g., as a Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, or similar role).
  • A solid understanding of behaviour management techniques and the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Confidence in delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools and environments.
