GSL Education is looking for an experienced English Teacher within a secondary school in the North of Birmingham particularly in Sutton Cofield, West Bromwich and Great Barr area. The school is looking for an experienced and highly capable English Teacher who can join their dedicated and talented English department right away. The role is a full time position from September 2024 on a long term basis.

The successful candidate will be a passionate and engaging English teacher who is committed to the success of every pupil. They will help to prepare and implement the curriculum for students, with the goals of helping students to develop confidence and proficiency in the subject. You will also be expected to teach English lessons to both KS3 and KS4, using a range of different strategies to engage and develop areas which need improvement. 

Roles are suitable for Fully Qualified and Early Career Teachers who are looking to complete their induction year. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a team player that is willing to contribute to the overall success of the school 
  • Hold QTS or other UK recognised teaching qualification 
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching
  • Be adaptable, creative and resourceful in your approach to teaching
  • Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies
  • Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
  • Planning and marking is required.
