Zest Education are working closely with a large secondary school in the Handsworth area, the school are looking for a Teacher of English that can join them from January 2025, this will be full time and will continue for the rest of the academic year.

The school is located in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The successful candidate will be joining a fast paced and hard-working environment, the school supports training and development for all of its staff and is continually looking for strong team players to join their team.

Successful candidates will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
