Are you a passionate English teacher looking to make a change? Flourish Education are recruiting a secondary English teacher to start immediately for the full academic year.
Our client is based in Great Barr with a “good” Ofsted rating and are known for having extremely supportive SLT and an all-round good reputation. The ideal candidate will be confident teaching English (Literature & Language) across KS3 and KS4.
As this is a long-term supply teacher role, you will be expected to:
- Teach English (Literature & Language) throughout KS3 and KS4.
- Planning, marking, and assessment required.
- Comply with the school behaviour policy.
- Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
- Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
- Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
Required skills and experience for the English Teacher role:
- Specialist in English
- Confident teaching both English (Literature & Language) up to GCSE
- Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English - Early career Teachers (ECT's) are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills.
- Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
- Previous school experience teaching Science.
