About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic and friendly team at our partner school in Warwickshire. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons, fostering a love of literature and language, and helping students achieve their full potential. You will work within a supportive environment that prioritizes both student and staff well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English, ensuring they are tailored to the needs of all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing interventions where necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, challenging, and inclusive.
- Participate in department meetings, staff training, and whole-school events.
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a collaborative approach to education.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong degree in English or a related subject.
- Excellent knowledge of the English curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4, with an understanding of A-level English (desirable).
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to inspiring students.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience teaching English up toKey Stage 5 (A-level).
- Knowledge of current educational trends and developments.
- Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities such as drama clubs or reading initiatives.
