Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our dynamic team in January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a ‘Good’ rated school located in the heart of Birmingham. This role is on a temporary basis and will go permanent September 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality geography lessons that align with the national curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and enhance teaching methods.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level is preferred but not essential.
Skills:
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
