Maths Teacher:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent role, and we are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.

As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5 (GCSE & A-Level). You will have the opportunity to help shape the mathematical journey of students, preparing them for further education, careers, and life beyond school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.
  • Differentiate your teaching methods to cater for a diverse range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and academic curiosity.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.
  • Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement.
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Person Specification:

  • A relevant degree (e.g., Mathematics, Mathematics Education) or equivalent qualification.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • A passion for mathematics and the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary school level (preferred but not essential).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
