Full-time Secondary P.E. Teacher Needed in Central Birmingham.

Are you a passionate about teaching in P.E. & looking to for a new position this term?

A fantastic, highly rated secondary school in Central Birmingham are looking to recruit a full-time P.E. Teacher to join their supportive team from the start of the term in January 2025. To be considered you should be comfortable taking on a timetable which will include all year groups within the secondary range and ideally A-Level (KS5) classes also. The school is highly regarded for its pupil progress and Teacher support/ development. The role will initially be to cover maternity absence but further work will be available at the school for the right candidate.

Experience/ willingness to cover other subjects within secondary education is desired by the school as part of the weekly time table may involve cover supervision.

The successful PE teacher will have:

  • QTS or a broad range of coaching qualifications and a relevant higher-level diploma
  • Experience in the sports coaching and/ or education sector
  • Have the ability to deliver high quality sport and physical activity sessions across the National Curriculum
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of effective pupil behaviour management and be able to implement strategies with a class of 30 children
