ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated Religious Studies Teacher for a long-term supply position at a well-respected secondary school in Yardley. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Religious Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Planning and delivering engaging, thought-provoking lessons
  • Assessing and tracking student progress in line with school policies
  • Encouraging critical thinking and open discussion on ethical and philosophical issues
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the humanities curriculum

 

Requirements

The successful RE Teacher will have;

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary level
  • A passion for fostering discussion and understanding of different faiths and beliefs
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
