The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Science ECT to join an ‘Outstanding’ secondary school and develop their teaching practice in a well-resourced department. You will deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, encouraging students to explore and understand key scientific concepts. The role includes lesson planning, practical demonstrations, and adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
The Candidate
The school welcomes applications from all Science specialisms, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The ideal candidate will:
Hold or be working towards QTS in Science
Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young scientists
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be eager to take advantage of a structured and supportive ECT induction programme
