ABC Teachers is delighted to represent an outstanding secondary school in Yardley seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. As part of the school’s Science Department, you will work alongside experienced colleagues who are dedicated to delivering high-quality education and inspiring curiosity in students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and achievement of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students’ personal and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote best practices and ensure consistent progress for all students.

 

Requirements

The successful Science Teacher will have;

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK with a specialism in Science.
  • Recent experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
  • Excellent subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
