Are you an experienced Secondary Supply/Cover Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities in South Birmingham? We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Cover Teachers to work across a variety of secondary schools, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of permanent staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Pre-Planned Lessons: Effectively deliver lesson plans left by the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on track with their learning.
  • Adaptability Across Subjects: While subject-specialist cover is preferred, flexibility to teach across different subjects is highly beneficial.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment, manage behaviour effectively, and ensure school policies are followed.
  • Student Engagement: Foster enthusiasm and participation, encouraging students to complete work to the best of their ability.
  • Professionalism & Communication: Liaise with school staff, provide feedback on student progress, and report any safeguarding concerns appropriately.
  • Independent Teaching: In some cases, you may be required to plan and assess work (for longer-term cover roles).
Requirements:

? Relevant teaching experience in UK secondary schools.? Proven experience in classroom management and ability to maintain discipline.? A confident and professional approach to teaching in different school environments.? Flexibility and reliability to take on assignments at short notice.? Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.? An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
