Behaviour Mentor – PRUDo you have experience supporting young people who face challenges in regulating their behaviours? Perhaps you've worked as a behaviour mentor, youth worker, residential support worker, or teaching assistant? This established PRU is seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to provide 1-2-1 support for children who have been excluded from mainstream education.This role requires a Behaviour Mentor with strong communication and behaviour management skills. You will be joining a dedicated team of behaviour mentors and teaching assistants who are passionate about ensuring every child can access an excellent education while overcoming behavioural and social barriers.   • Supporting students in managing classroom behaviours and developing strategies to self-regulate.
  • Acting as a positive role model, helping students understand the impact of their actions on peers and staff.
  • Communicating effectively with students, staff, and parents to address the underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
  • Participating in whole-school activities, trips, and reward days to promote engagement and positive behaviours.
  • Utilising a variety of de-escalation techniques, identifying triggers, and supporting students to prevent crises.
