Perhaps you've worked as a behaviour mentor, youth worker, residential support worker, or teaching assistant? This established PRU is seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to provide 1-2-1 support for children who have been excluded from mainstream education.This role requires a Behaviour Mentor with strong communication and behaviour management skills. You will be joining a dedicated team of behaviour mentors and teaching assistants who are passionate about ensuring every child can access an excellent education while overcoming behavioural and social barriers. Supporting students in managing classroom behaviours and developing strategies to self-regulate.
Acting as a positive role model, helping students understand the impact of their actions on peers and staff.
Communicating effectively with students, staff, and parents to address the underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
Participating in whole-school activities, trips, and reward days to promote engagement and positive behaviours.
Utilising a variety of de-escalation techniques, identifying triggers, and supporting students to prevent crises.
