GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Carpentry to our public sector client based in Solihull. The Lecturer in Carpentry and Multiskills will teach, train, and assess students working on L1 Carpentry and Multiskills (only the Carpentry elements).
Main Duties of the Lecturer in Carpentry and Multiskills:
- Teach L1 Carpentry and Multiskills and act as a Course Tutor
- Support student induction and enrolment with the Construction school
- Assist in the development of the curriculum and learning materials - this will include the College's virtual offer
- Develop external contacts to promote industry-based work including work placements
Role Requirements:
- Level 2 qualification in Carpentry
- Hold a level 5 Teaching Qualification
- Level 3 Assessor Award (or equivalent)
- Experience of working in the Construction industry with a focus on Carpentry and Joinery
- Proven experience of teaching or training/mentoring
