We are working on behalf of a school who is looking for a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children with complex needs. The school caters for children with pupils with moderate to severe physical and cognitive learning difficulties and has a passionate and committed leadership team. The role is to start in January 2025 and would be to carry out full-time temporary cover till the end of the spring term.The school are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about working with children with physical difficulties and/or complex needs
  • Has recent experience working in this area that can be referenced
  • Ideally, have qualifications/training in areas such as manual handling/hoist use/feeding/personal care/PECS Makaton/Team Teach
  • The school would welcome people from a mainstream background who feel they have the relevant experience above.
