We are looking to recruit an experienced Female Security Receptionist to join our team who will contribute towards the continuous delivery of our secure service.

St Andrew’s Birmingham is a 118 bedded adult mental healthcare facility comprises of eight units that cover medium and low security for both Men and Women. Located in Stirchley, a vibrant area in South Birmingham, easily accessible by road networks and public transport.

The Role

As a key member of the St. Andrew’s security team your key responsibilities will be maintaining security systems and records. Duties will include key management, processing staff and visitors, managing and responding to all emergency incidents including fire and intruder alarms. Internal and external patrols of the site. This role will have specific responsibility for supporting the female patients in our care.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Working knowledge or experience in working in the healthcare sector or similar
  • Working knowledge or experience in working in the security field
  • To have a good working knowledge of working security systems.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills
  • Demonstrate clear verbal and written skills
  • Be flexible, reliable and able to work a 12 hour shift pattern on either days or nights
  • You will have a strong customer focus
  • Be able to show initiative, whilst adhering to the policies and procedures that ensure a safe environment and compliance with secure standards
  • ESSENTIAL - You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence
