Field Service Engineer
Join a leading manufacturer of innovative and high-quality Food Machinery Solutions (food industry experience is not essential).
In their ongoing expansion, they are seeking skilled Engineers to join their Service Team and provide technical support to food production companies throughout the UK & Ireland.
As one of their Field Service Engineers, you will be the face of the company and play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of their equipment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to engage with a diverse range of customers, work on state-of-the-art machinery, and contribute to the overall success of the business.
Typical duties for the Field Service Engineer:
- Perform routine inspections and scheduled services to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery breakdowns, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Complete installation and commissioning of machinery on customer sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
- Electrical & Mechanical fault finding and repair.
- Maintain accurate service records, documenting all activities, repairs, parts used, and machinery upgrade recommendations.
- Train customer personnel on the proper operation of equipment.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Requirements for the role:
We welcome applications from experienced Field Service Engineers and Maintenance Engineers who are eager to transition into a dynamic field-based role.
- Qualified in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Proven experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery.
- Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to travel throughout the UK & Ireland.
- Willingness to work the occasional weekend (approximately 11 weekends per year).
- A valid driving license.
