Ashberry Recruitment is proud to represent hundreds of experienced Residential Support Workers across the North and Midlands, offering casual, ad-hoc, and temporary roles with our specialist social care clients.

We are currently looking to expand our exceptional team of support workers and are particularly seeking candidates who are available consistently to support children and young people within the care system, specifically across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

Due to the dynamic nature of our client base, staffing needs can arise unexpectedly. Our clients often require support to cover sickness, holidays, and team gaps, but more critically, to ensure the safety and well-being of the young people they care for.

Our roles may involve:

  • Supporting young people in emergency situations, such as when a new resident moves into a service at short notice.
  • Responding to situations involving self-harm, sexual exploitation, or highly challenging behaviors.
  • Ensuring continuity of care and providing stability for children and young people at risk.

We are looking for candidates with experience in children's homes or leaving care environments. While an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Child Care is preferred, it is not essential.

The ideal candidates will be:

  • Reliable and dependable, with the ability to work at short notice.
  • Available across 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Ideally, have their own transport (business insurance is desirable).

Ashberry offers very competitive pay rates in line with Agency Worker Regulations, along with unmatched customer service. Our bank workers are well-supported, kept busy with opportunities, and paid promptly.

Immediate work is available upon successful completion of pre-employment checks, so please get in touch as soon as possible if you’re interested. We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to the team!
