Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Intensive Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will support young people on a Child in Need (CIN) plan, providing essential care and assistance within the family home or temporary accommodation, including hotels. You will collaborate with parents, social workers, and other relevant professionals to create and implement structured activity plans tailored to each child's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide intensive support to children and young people on a Child in Need (CIN) plan.
  • Work closely with families to understand their needs and develop effective support strategies.
  • Engage with parents, social workers, and other relevant professionals to create and implement structured activity plans.
  • Deliver personalised care and support within the family home or temporary accommodation, including hotels.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and well-being of the children and young people you support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions and support provided.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure best practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a support or care role.
  • Knowledge of Child in Need (CIN) plans and relevant child protection protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and professionals.
  • Ability to develop and implement structured activity plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • Flexibility to work in various settings, including family homes and temporary accommodation.
  • A relevant qualification in social work, childcare, or a related field is desirable but not essential
