Teacher Active are working with a variety of specialist schools and colleges across the United Kingdom, I am currently recruiting for clients that are based within the Birmingham and surrounding area's that need experienced residential staff to work at their children homes, do you have what it takes?

We are looking for motivated, experienced and non experienced residential support workers to help make a huge impact on children and young adults, our homes help to aid children and young adults with support and guidance.

This is a remarkable opportunity to expand your residential experience. We have experienced Professionals and dedicated Consultants with placements that suit your availability, preference, and skill-set. We have day to day, short term, and long-term work available with immediate starts.

Responsibilities: Support pupils in and out of the care home, personal development and behaviour management is crucial to supporting the children in our residential settings, i am looking for staff who hold specific skills such as emotional intelligence, resilience, Patience, motivation & determination, Communication (Verbal + Listening skills), maturity, Team player, somebody who uses initiative, etc.  

Required Skills & Experience: Previous experience working with children or young adults with challenging behaviour, team player attitude with a positive and flexible approach to work, Punctuality, organisation, experience within a residential setting.

Residential Support Worker we require:

  • Minimum one year working with children/young adults in the education or care sector in a Team Leder role within the UK (essential)
  • Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent (desirable)
  • A full UK driving licence (desirable)
  • An understanding of the importance of safeguarding (desirable)
