Duties of this Support Worker job:

  • You will work effectively as part of a team of experienced support workers
  • You will be responsible for providing care to vulnerable children supporting service users with early trauma and emotional behavioural difficulties
  • You will take service users out into the community
  • You will ensure professional boundaries are in place
  • You will be Working to a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends and bank holidays
  • You will contribute to the effective implementation of individual programmes by supporting learning, independence and experiences.
  • You will manage the well-being and behaviour's ensuring significant behavioural or physical occurrences are addressed and managed accordingly
  • You will assist with the completion of care plans, risk assessments, reviews, incident & accidents reporting
  • You will support clients with morning and evening routines
  • You will Support clients with challenging behaviour and adopting de-escalation techniques
  • You will supporting clients with in house and external activities
  • You will promote strong communication with both clients and staff team to ensure handovers are accurate and factual
  • You will maintain professional relationships with clients, family and external healthcare professionals
  • You will adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements of this Support Worker job:

  • You will have a minimum of 6 months Paid Children's care experience in the UK in the last 3 years
  • You will have the right to work in the UK
  • You will possess a good standard of English both spoken and written with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • You will need an enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.
  • You will need to provide suitable references to cover the last 3 years of employment.
