Family Support Worker

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our client's team, providing crucial early help support to children, young people, and their families. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a multi-agency environment, ensuring timely interventions that make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable families.

The role involves using professional knowledge and skills to assess needs, identify concerns, and coordinate tailored support plans through multi-agency collaboration. As a key professional, you will work directly with families, acting as a lead practitioner where appropriate, to implement and monitor effective intervention plans that promote positive change.

A key part of the role is working within an early help locality multi-disciplinary team, responding swiftly to emerging needs and ensuring high standards of practice in delivering early support. Engaging with children and families through persistent outreach is essential, ensuring participation in assessments, support plans, and interventions designed to safeguard and promote their welfare.

You will manage a varied caseload, maintaining accurate case records and reports while ensuring all work aligns with policies, procedures, and safeguarding responsibilities. The role also requires convening and leading case planning meetings, attending case conferences, and working closely with safeguarding teams and partner agencies.

Commitment to professional development is crucial, with opportunities to engage in regular supervision, appraisals, team meetings, and service development reviews. The role requires flexibility, with occasional work outside normal office hours.
