Their Housing Officers are at the heart of what they do as an organisation. They have a great opportunity for a Housing Officer to join their team providing a comprehensive housing management service, working with communities and neighbourhoods around the Midlands

The Role

You will be responsible for visiting customers providing advice, reviewing tenancies and identifying any problems. You will be regularly inspecting estates, raising, reporting and monitoring to a successful conclusion any health and safety or safeguarding concerns. You will also be responsible for playing a key role in developing strong relationships within local communities, working collaboratively with other agencies and internal colleagues.

Other key responsibilities include managing and investigating tenancy issues such as anti-social behaviour, condition of property, fly tipping or safeguarding concerns. You will also undertake new tenancy sign-ups and accompanied viewings for new homes.

The successful candidate

You will have proven experience of working in the Social Housing sector, particularly with a background of dealing with tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding. You will be proactive in your approach, organised and have the ability prioritise your time to meet timeframes. You will have excellent communication skills and a customer focused approach, understanding the importance of delivering a high standard of service.

This will be a role well suited to someone with experience of working closely with customers to tackle complex issues.

This role involves regular travel. A driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations is essential.
