Support Worker Role

Job Title: Housing Support Worker

Job Type: Temp (FTC 6 months), Opportunity to go Temp to Perm

  • Mon - Fri, AM-PM (37.5 hours per week)
  • 28 Days Annual Leave

Salary: 13.85 per hour

Location: Birmingham

Key Responsibilities:

  • The role is to provide support and guidance to service users.
  • To signpost service users to their relevant support needs.
  • Attending appointments and arranging GP and dental visits or other related appointments for benefits or ESOL classes.
  • 1 hour support session per week per service user

Essential Criteria:

  • Somali Speaking Essential (Arabic may be considered) - Due to nature of service users/Language Barriers
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Desirable)
  • Experience in housing or homelessness support
  • Knowledge of local support services
  • Full Clean Driving License (Desirable - Not Required)
