Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School Birmingham (B42) - Full-Time - From 100 Per Day

Are you energetic and committed to supporting learners to reach their full potential? Long Term Futures is working with a partner secondary school in the Perry Barr (B42) area who are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student with Cerebral Palsy and Attachment Disorder.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in 1:1 support, who is patient, understanding, and passionate about making a real difference in a student's life.



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support, ensuring the student feels safe, engaged, and motivated
  • Supporting the student's physical, emotional, and academic development
  • Implementing strategies to build trust, confidence, and positive relationships
  • Assisting with mobility needs and ensuring sufficient support around toiletting needs
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to create a consistent and supportive learning environment


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working 1:1 with students with additional needs - essential
  • A positive, energetic, and adaptable approach to learning support
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience supporting students with attachment difficulties and physical disabilities
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential - experience and the right mindset are key!
