We assist all employers when they want to source public safety, housing and enterprise security skills and experience.RSR are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Birmingham for x5 Assistant Housing Needs Officers.The purpose of this role is to deliver a responsive and customer focused temporary accommodation (TA) tenancy support service that enables customers to sustain their TA tenancy and successfully move on into suitable secured accommodation.These are full time, temporary roles, initially for 3 months, and offer’s a pay rate of £12 per hour.Full driving license and access to own vehicle will be require for this role as you will be expected to conduct home/site visits.Main Duties:

  • Support with the monitoring and recording of TA property inspections, TA Move On activity, floating support visits and occupancy check outcomes.
  • Create, update and maintain customer records on the relevant databases and monitoring spreadsheets.
  • Help the service to monitor homeless household’s attendance in TA.
  • Occupancy checks and Lock changes, deal with matters of anti-social behaviour
  • Be aware of the risk of fraud, error, child and adult protection issues and raise any concerns to your line manager.
  • Take responsibility, appropriate to the post, for ensuring compliance with policies and procedures aimed at promoting and safeguarding the welfare of vulnerable children and adults.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment that is driven by strict and demanding deadlines.
  • Experience of responding to complex and sensitive situations displaying empathy and diplomacy.
  • Knowledge of homelessness, relevant housing legislation.
  • Competent in the use of IT systems and Microsoft applications
  • Full driving license.
