Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for an Assistant Housing Officer on behalf of our client based in BirminghamThis is a full-time role on a temporary 3-month contract (Ongoing) at £13.20 / hourThis role supports housing management services, ensuring tenancies are well-maintained and communities thrive. Working closely with Housing Officers, the position involves case management, tenancy enforcement, resident support, and multi-agency collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering high-quality housing management services.
  • Conduct tenancy visits, investigate complaints, and enforce tenancy agreements.
  • Support residents with housing advice, welfare benefits, and tenancy sustainment.
  • Promote clean, safe neighbourhoods through engagement and enforcement.
  • Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports.
  • Collaborate with agencies to address community and tenancy issues.
  • Ensure compliance with housing policies, safeguarding, and health and safety regulations.
  • Support resident participation and community engagement initiatives.

Person Specification:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in housing, tenancy management, or community engagement.
  • Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and policies.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for case management and reporting.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
